Steph and Robbie were fantastic from start to finish organising my Dad's funeral. Incredibly understanding, patient and genuinely interested in making the process as smooth and least stressful as possible. I cannot thank them enough for making an otherwise difficult time as manageable as possible. They explained and arranged everything from day 1 and were always on hand to chat or ask a question. Robbie and Steph went above and beyond our expectations. They showed care, compassion and a full understanding of what we wanted for our mum’s funeral. They arranged for a celebrant to conduct the service who was absolutely brilliant and even arranged for mum to have a blessing when she was in the chapel of rest. The flowers on mum’s coffin were later that day made into bouquets for us to keep. We can’t praise them enough for making the day perfect in every way.

I cannot thank Robbie, Steph and the rest of the team enough. After losing both my grandparents over the last 3 years, I thought it was only right to bring my lovely Dad to the same place. They took wonderful care of him, and I knew he was in good hands. They helped with everything I needed, and no question was “too random” even though I felt it was sometimes, after all I had never planned a funeral before.
From visiting my dad at the chapel, everything was presented perfectly with respect and peace, and they were truly supportive.
The funeral, in my opinion, could not have been a better send off for my dad- although deeply emotional it was perfect. Just what my dad would have wanted.

I can’t speak highly enough of Steph and Robbie and indeed all the staff at Herbert Murray, helping us navigate our way through the worst time in our lives, losing Brian, our dad/grandad and for mum, her husband of 64 years. So many decisions and things to process, we couldn’t have done it without them. From the team who took dad into their care on the night he died right through to the final send off.
Dad couldn’t have been in better hands, we were all looked after with such kindness and compassion and nothing was too much trouble.

As a family we had very little experience of planning a funeral. Our lovely Dad died and we met the loveliest people ever.
Herbert Murray, for us mainly Steph stepped in and sorted everything. Robbie was there too if we wanted anything.
With Steph we planned every step of the loveliest, warmest, love filled day to say farewell and celebrate our fabulous Husband/ Dad/Grandad and Great Grandad Tom.
Words cannot do justice to say how wonderful they were. No question was ever silly or too small. Trust us we asked some daft ones.
From the very start they were amazing, professional, kind and caring.
Even now a few weeks after they are still helping us and we know they will be there for us whenever we need anything.
A day that no one wants became an amazing and special day.
Every person involved from the team was fabulous and so helpful.
We are so very glad we chose Herbert Murray and certainly will again when needed. Thank you so much ladies, you were stars.

I cannot recommend the services of Herbert Murray FD highly enough. We have suffered two family bereavements in the last year and on both occasions received the greatest care and compassion from Robbie and Steph. True professionals. Attention to every detail. I never thought about what I would have to do if I ever needed to arrange a funeral. However, I recently lost my mum. I was deverstated, clueless and extremely funerable. Herbert Murray Funeral Directors, aka Steph and Robbie, were fantastic. From my first nervous and tearful phone call right through to bringing my mum's ashes back home. They were professional, understanding, supportive and sensitive to all our family needs. I truly couldn't have given my mum her perfect send off without them. Would I use them again? Absolutely! In my experience, no one could have guided us through such a difficult time as well as they did.

From the initial phone call right through to the funeral Robbie and Steph were amazing.
